Sunday Shopping

Went on a shopping trip on Sunday with my Dad, possibly the worst thing to do at this time of year.  I am pleased to say that I managed to get nearly all my Christmas Presents sorted - only two more to go! Thank God! I also indulged in some self gifting too - Gap Skirt, Zara skirt and top and M&S shoes...The Gap skirt had to go back as it looked a bugger on, such a shame as it was gorgeous...I did not look gorgeous in it though.

I also found out that Valentino for Gap will only be released in the London Store, not even in the Manchester store! OUTRAGE!! Why do all the good things always go to people in London...its the same with Lanvin for H&M, I bet thats not coming to Manchester either.

Gig-tastic fun with We Are Scientists

Went to see We Are Scientists last night with best bud JT, they were amazing! It did get me to thinking though what the best gig wear is...flat shoes are definatly number one choice here, standing at the front bouncing around is not the place for heels, I favour the good old Converse All Star.

Is it pretentions to dress a bit Rock and Roll but only for a gig? The minute tickets are purchased I start planning which "band tee" to wear with my skinny jeans and converse, when normally it would be a ballet flat or heel that would accompany such an outfit and a non music related top.

After thinking through these sartorial riddles, it was decided only clothes that you dont mind getting sweaty in are best...or if worse comes to worse, smelly from when people start throwing pints of beer over the crowd and other much worse liquids!
Catch We Are Scientists this month in other gigs, they are brilliant live!

Oh Dear, I can't help myself

I am addicted to this song, been listening to it all day - also when did McFly get so hot?!

The Trusty Trench

As my first post I thought I would dedicate it to a fashion fave of mine...The Trench Coat, I have been a fan of the Trench for years but have only just bought myself one, (a vintage Aquascutum in black).  It was after this wonderful purchase that I notcied that there has been a rise in the trench trend on celebs recently too...most noted on Emma Watson, who is championing the Burberry Bespoke Trench, one can only dream of ever having bespoke Burberry.

I must say I have a huge fashion crush on Emma right now, everything from the Mia Farrow pixie cut to the sharp fashion choices that she is currently making, she is getting it right every time.  I think it will be long time before I could ever cut off my hair though - brave hair dressing moves are not my favourite thing!
