After a week of being really well behaved, I have only lost half a sodding pound! I am furious!
This week I need to really up my game as I need to lose 3lbs to be on target :( I don't know what to do. A pound of fat is actually quite a lot when you look at it, so where the hell is it going from my body? I've lost 5lbs in total but can't tell at all.
I think that the points that I have been calculated for my daily allowance are too many, I am meant to be eating 33 but find that its allowing me to have naughty things on top of my good things....I am going to experiment by having a week at 29 points to see how it goes.
I have been promised by my mum that if I get to my goal weight (which means a loss of 35lbs) she will go halves with me on a Mulberry bag of my choice (within reason) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
I have also agreed to do the Race for Life for the first time this year, I will be doing it in June around Chester. At my current mental state and physical weight I think I would only be able to walk it - however I hope by June that I would be able to run the 5km. It doesn't seem that far but the more I think about running it the harder it seems, so it for me would be a great personal goal, plus have you seen the gorgeous fitness clothing that you can buy now?
The new Nike stuff looks amazing and wearable for the gym and running out and about on the streets. I prefer the look of it to the Stella McCartney for Adidas range which looks nice in theory but I don't think I could wear that to my local gym.

Week 2 complete
Last week wasn't as successful as the first weigh in, I only lost 1.5 lbs, but that's better than nothing right?
So that's a total of 4.5 lbs, I had estimated a 2lb a week loss so I am currently on track quite nicely, just hope that I can do the same again this Thursday. I have found it quite hard this week, have just had major food cravings and not for fruit!
I am going shopping to London of the 11th February so I am hoping to have lost 10lbs by then so I can treat myself to some nice "thin clothes"...if not, will get some lovely jewellery shoes and bags! (Last night I watched the Victoria's Secret 2010 Fashion Show, talk about thinspiration!)
Had a haircut on the weekend too - didn't go too well, more to do with my chronic fear of getting my hair cut. Managed to keep it together during the cut, but burst into tears as soon as I got outside, I think I may have scared off any future customers of the salon! I have to say that my hair doesn't look any different, its just that I hate the way that they dry it, it looks too neat and poofy...I like tousled waves not "stepford wife" mushroom head!!
I am planning my shopping for London, I want to get a jersey maxi dress for the summer - I loved the T by Alexander Wang dress that was on Net-a-Porter, but it was completely sold out...not impressed! I am proud that I didn't buy a single thing from the Net-a-Porter sale, I kept getting buyers guilt and I hadn't even bought anything! I'm still holding out for Hermes.

Update
So I had my first weigh in last week with Weight Watchers, lost 3lbs - am so chuffed...however, I am now terrified that I wont have lost anything this week or even worse...put some on :(
I have been eating less than the 33 points a day (apart from sunday where I had a bit of a greedy day) and have been doing exercise, I even went to the gym today!!
My friend also lost 5lbs in her first week - I have to say, I am jealous that she lost more than me - how pathetic is that?!
I am going to have to take lots of fruit to work to munch on and drink lots of water (which I do already)

Victoria Beckham, Pregnant!
I am a HUGE Victoria Beckham fan, I love everything about her. I thought I'd do a little post dedicated to her amazing style....the thing I am most excited about is not whether its a boy or a girl but what will she wear while preggers?!
Past pregnancies have seen Mrs B. dressed in an array of different styles from each birth.
Pregnant with Brooklyn
Pregnant with Romeo

One thing that I am pretty 100% certain about with this pregnancy - there won't be any bare tummy skin on show! As a serious fashion designer (and icon) the style of this pregancy is going to be AMAZING!!

So Far....
I went to my first weight watchers meeting on Thursday, things went ok, I have my points all set out and I have been sticking to my plan very well - ok so its been 2 days, but its actually really easy to eat 33 points a day, in fact I didn't even manage to reach 33 yesterday. I am also keeping to my food tracker journal like demon (lucky I have a huge handbag to carry the folder around with me - Russel and Bromley natch). I do keep having severe chocolate cravings, to the point where I might take down a small child for a bit of a twix.
I also have a new addition to the "saving for" pot - a Hermes enamel bangle - just seen one and I NEED IT IN MY LIFE! The wide one that I want (in black) is $560...whats that in pounds I wonder? Could I get it shipped to my cousin in miami and then get it shipped to me in Cheshire? Hold on...I can't even afford to buy the bangle let alone pay for the shipping - am getting carried away.
Have also had a serious falling out with my laptop, for some reason, the lid seems to have decided to come away from the base. The bottom left screw has come out of the screen and its all mangled. I have no idea how it has happend. I could cry, and on top of that the battery has died so now it only works plugged in to the wall...and then it gets really hot. I think it may be on its last legs.
Just seen a TV advert thats perked up my spirits, E! Live from the Red Carpet for the Golden Globes - yey!! I love looking at all the dresses that people wear :) I also love Ryan and Giuliana too!

Brushing Up....
As a cheeky treat to myself (again) I have bought a new collection of MAC brushes. They are divine. However, now I don't want to use them until I have all new make up, I don't want to soil them with my old makeup.
Luckily, this month with the ELLE Club there is 15% off at HQHair.com and I also have a small collection of empty MAC pots to take back to get a discount on my next purchase, and help the environment of course :)
Use the code ELLEHQ20 at the till for HQhair.com and its valid from 5th Jan to the 6th April .

Reading
For a bit of light reading I have just ordered from Amazon the second goddess guide; The Goddess Experience by Gisele Scanlon, and Luella's Guide to English Style by Luella Bartley. I am a lover and collector of fashion coffee table books, and have shelves devoted to them in my huge floor to ceiling, wall to wall bookcase. Pet hate - when the spines get wrinkled.
Cinema
Really want to go and see the new Narnia film - Voyage of the Dawn Treader, I loved the books as a child and have enjoyed the other Narnia films, its a bit of a shame that some of the books have been missed out but its still good fun.

Sock it to me!
Just treated myself to some lovely new socks from good old Toppers. Its just a bit sad that they will have a life inside boots rather than where everyone can see there beauty. I think the Pandas are my favourites
Tomorrow is also the first day of the diet. I weighed myself today and weigh in at a horrifying 13stone (and a UK size 14). I am 5ft 8" but that's still giving me an unhealthy BMI. Not for much longer though, I have my weigh in on Thursday, gym and swimming plan all set out. Size 10 here I come!! Wish Me Luck!

Resolutions - A Weighty Issue....
NYRs
(New Years Resolutions)
2. Not buy extra magazines, I have Vogue and Elle subs, I do not need any others and I never enjoy them as much.
3. Save money (I am investing in a Terramundi pot to save in, you have to smash them open to get the money out)
4. Take better care of myself :) it will make me a happier person.
I think I will be able to stick to those. I have joined Weight Watchers (my first weigh in is on Thursday) so they will help me success to my weight loss goals. I will also be writing about my efforts as I go along, depending on my mood, I may post some pictures so that the before and afters can be seen. I may not.
I am feeling pretty good about it though, I know that I can succeed and I have even worked out that if I can lose 2lbs a week, it could be achieved by May, lovely. Then I will keep the weight off...promise :) In that time, I also hope to buy no new clothes, hahaha, as I want to buy nice new "Thin Sophie" clothes. Shoes, bags, accessories, and make up are of course still allowed to be purchased.
Happy New Year
Its been a while since my last post but I have been incredibly lazy over the festive period. Am now back, albeit with a chronic cold.
Had an amazing Christmas Day and Boxing Day with my family (Mums house Christmas day, Dads house on Boxing day) and got thoroughly spoilt. Should it be any other way?
My Mum, bought my some lovely boots from Next that I had spied weeks early and hadn't bought for myself as I was feeling frugal (for a change), my French Connection party dress, that I wrote about in a previous post, a very snugly Jack Wills snood and Joules gilet and a very fun Mensa Calendar (I do love a good Mensa brain game). She also got me a new subscription to Vogue and some really nice Benefit Make up. As well as money and other lovely bits and pieces. We are going for a Mother Daughter shop in the next couple of weeks too eek. I AM SPOILT!!
My Grandparents got me an AMAZING Michael Kors watch in Rose gold - I love it!! But am too worried to wear it all the time in case I scratch it, I still have all the plastic seals on it....In also fairness I did pick it out myself so I wasn't surprised but I was so pleased that I finally had it in my hands.
My dad and step mum got me some furry boot liners for my Dubarry boots - a must for country walks. As well as some perfume and other bits and bobs...I did get pre-warned my by stepmum that he had picked all the presents himself and wrapped them so she had no idea what they were and if they were rubbish she would find the receipts to take them back - bless! They were lovely though :)
My stepsister and her partner and daughters got me some lovely Links of London Star Earrings which are so nice - I have worn them pretty much everyday since I got them...they compliment the "S" necklace they gave me last year.
Once again, I outdid myself on my present buying skills....Complete Clarins set for the Mother in a lovely box, and an Elizabeth Arden 8hour cream set too. A digital camera for my dad, (also a children's digital camera for my niece - she's 4) Joules bathroom set for my stepmum, and also for my stepbrothers wife. The stepbrother got a chainsaw sharpening kit (its what he asked for). My stepsister got a new handbag and the river cottage family cookbook. Her partner got some CDs and their youngest daughter got some grey velvet booties from The White Company....a successfully hoard all round.

What I Gave
Sales Shopping
I didn't do any sale shopping which at the time I was proud of but now I am regretting, I did a major wardrobe clear out and have NOTHING to wear now.
New Years Eve
New Years Eve I always find to be a total let down if I go out - its too expensive and I refuse to pay to get into a pub, its too crowded so you can never get to the bar to get a drink, and there are more drunken idiots about than normal. This year I stayed in with my friends and we had a lovely curry and drank lots and watched Scott Pilgrim Vs the World, then we watched Jools Holland's Hogmannay and finally set of some Chinese Lanterns before retiring to bed at 1am....the perfect way to bring in the New Year.
